April Moore shares the inspiration and motivation that goes into her brand.
It is often said that college students are challenged when trying to find the motivation to achieve their goals or create a brand for themselves.
Senior integrated marketing communications major April Moore found a way to do both through her blog, Elevate with Robin.
Moore said that she started her blog to inspire people to fulfill their passions.
“I define Elevate with Robin as bridging the gap between passion and purpose. I’m trying to motivate people to dig into their passions, and really invest time and effort into it so that they can make it their purpose in life,” she said.
Moore said that she has been able to motivate others, build her own career and even encourage herself.
“Everything that I’m putting out, that I’m saying to the world, I’m also saying to myself”, she said.
Moore said that starting a brand on top of school is a difficult challenge and she is still trying to find that balance.
She expresses that the launch of her PR company, Elevating Publicity, was successful as she has one client, DJBG, who is the official DJ for R&B singer Jacquees.
Moore wishes to focus on growing her business by bettering herself. “Right now, I’m polishing my image and investing time and money in myself,” she said. She also volunteers at the Boys & Girls Club where she hopes to strengthen her motivational speaking skills.
She said that she feels people must work hard in order to achieve their dreams.
“Some people feel like their purpose is something that they stumble on, or is destiny, and in a sense it is. I think my purpose was God given, but I was involved in it. People can create their purpose if they really want to,” she said.
